CHATEAU SAINT HILAIRE
MEDOC CRU BOURGEOIS AOC APPELLATION : MEDOC AOC
GRAPE VARIETY : blend of grape varieties typical to the Bordeaux area: Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon GROUND : clay & limestone AGEING: The wine-making process takes place in stainless steel vats in which we control the fermentation and ensure a strict temperature control. We also carry out daily analysis and sampling of the different wines, during the harvest. In keeping with the tradition from Médoc, the red wine is matured in French oak barrels for 12 to 18 months, where it develops into a well balanced wine, perfect for aging. TASTING NOTE: Since 1995, in order to produce our Château Saint Hilaire, we have been selecting the grapes from our finest terroirs, located on the edge of the estuary, on deep gravelly soils and a heavy clay subsoil. Patience and precision are the keywords characterizing the production of our wine.We seek to extract only the finest aromas and tannins from our grapes which are then aged for twelve months in French oak barrels. Thus, this wine presents a powerful bouquet with complex and balanced aromas that are going to age well. This cuvee is classified Cru Bourgeois since 2003. |
