GRAPE VARIETY : 70% Merlot 30% Cabernet Sauvignon GROUND : Clay & Limestone AGEING: The wine is usually bottled 2 years after harvest TASTING NOTE: Château Haut Gravelier is made at a small property run by the Tarride family in the great value Entre-deux-Mers region. Their vineyards are superbly located in Saint Martial on the slopes . Here the family grow predominantly Merlot, which is very ripe and juicy in 2018, together with a touch of Cabernet Franc adding lovely floral freshness. A ripe nose with juicy fruit – mulberries, plums and raspberries – and a touch of violet. Remarkably easy-drinking, soft and supple despite its youth. Lots of fresh bramble fruit flavours with svelte tannins. A real charmer. ALCOHOL DEGREE : 13% vol/14%vol
